Midyear is the time Rotary Clubs generally change their leadership. Our club farewelled President Phil Pfeiffer, who served two years as President and welcomed incoming President Cheryle Barry. Cheryle has years of teaching experience behind her and is looking forward to her year leading our club.

 

Morphett Vale Rotarians donated $1000 to Shelterbox to deliver appropriate items to suffering and homeless earthquake victims in Venezuela.

Tents, blankets, cooking utensils, water purifiers and tools will be distributed to the most needy. $100 alone will deliver a tool kit which includes a spade, hoe, hand tools, wire and tarpaulin. Another new item which is essential, is a blow up solar powered adjustable light with phone charger.  This light can float on water and has dimmer capabilities. An essential item indeed.

Peter raffled a nice bottle of Claire Valley wine and new member Shaun was the lucky winner. Proceeds from the raffle were enough to purchase a tool kit for Venezuela.
