APOLOGY TO COUNCILLOR DAVIS
In our previous newsletter I misnamed a person in the photo of Councillor Kim Davis as Kimberley Skrypec from the Flinders Foundation. Apologies to both Kim and Kimberley for the error. We look forward to working with both these community minded and hard working women in the future.
WHEELCHAIRS FOR KIDS
Getting kids up out of the dirt and into a robust adjustable wheelchair is a dream held by Brother Oliver Thomas Pickett AM  who was also awarded Senior Australian of the Year in 2025. https://wheelchairsforkids.org/
Br Oliver oversees the volunteer workforce that manufactures and packs these life changing chairs for children overseas.
Some also remain in Australia for children in outback communities.May be an image of speaker and text that says "CHAIRS CHARSTON ട FOR F ξ WHEE C S Wheelchairs For WheelchairsForKids Kids Cestra বানો. & moblrtry worldwide Galaxy S23 18 18-March2026 March 2026 Rotary Scarborough"

Rotarian Marion presented speaker Jan with a token of our thanks for her presentation.
This lightweight, robust and adjustable all terrain wheelchair comes with toys and a rug for children who would otherwise spend their days indoors or sitting in the dirt.
CUTE EASTER CRAFT MORNING
Our guests as well as some of our club members did an outstanding job of creating an Easter ornament at today's Create Connect Chat for Easter.

CFS AWASH WITH NEW WATER SUPPLY
Before COVID hit and disrupted so many plans, our club donated funds for a kindergarten toilet block in Timor Leste. This project was abandoned during the post COVID days due to several logistical issues and the funds were redirected to the building of a water tank in Cherry Gardens. Driven by the Rotary Club of Flagstaff Hill, the 190,000 litre galvanised fire water tank was installed at Cherry Gardens Country Fire Service premises recently.
This project followed significant fundraising efforts by Rotary and others to support local CFS brigades.

BBQ HELP FROM FLINDERS FOUNDATION
Kimberley, Gill, Maria and Michael from the Flinders Foundation helped us cook and serve amazing sausages at Noarlunga Bunnings recently. Part of the proceeds will be donated to this worthy cause which helps patients and staff at both the Flinders and Noarlunga Hospitals. https://flindersfoundation.org.au/
The remainder of the day's takings will go towards paying for another local teen to train in leadership, team working and problem solving on the sail training ship the 'One and All'. https://oneandallship.com.au/
