A new year and half our Rotary Year has gone. Our calendar is filling and more is planned. Programme for the next 6 months was distributed to members tonight. Copies also sent via email and available on the club web site.

Mark will do the risk assessments for these events.
Members have received a bundle of 10 raffle books for our Mothers' Day Raffle, this is a change from previous years and members will be given many chances to sell their books at a variety of venues. These are marked in red on the programme. A portion of club sales will be donated to the Flying Doctor.
Our club will soon be asked to register for the Rotary Showcase Expo to be held on Saturday 3rd June. This will be an exciting opportunity for Clubs to showcase their Projects to Rotarians and the Public.
There are still a few positions to be confirmed for Rotary year 2023-2024. Tracy can be contacted regarding available positions for Club Executives.
Board Approval given for Morphett Vale Rotary Club to cook the Gunfire Breakfast of bacon and egg rolls for 300 RSL members on Tuesday 25 April, Anzac Day, 2023.
We can set up at the RSL on Sunday afternoon straight after the Vintage and Classic event.
After the Regionalisation Pilot vote in September, 90% of clubs voted yes to proceed with the pilot and 20 of 21 districts met the two thirds of clubs voting ‘Yes’ threshold. The 21st district had a simple majority in favour but not the two thirds majority.
The results were reported to the Rotary International Board and it was approved that the pilot proceed with 20 districts. The last several years have been focused on planning but fast forward to now and we are into the pilot implementation phase.
Past District Governor and Past Coordinator Tim Moore is the Implementation Task Force leader and his team is currently being resourced based on appropriate skills in responses to calls for volunteers.
They have held new information sessions where Co Chairs PDG Ingrid Waugh and PDG Peter Frueh reported on the progress made in the design and consultation of the Pilot. If you were not able to attend, you can watch a recording

The pilot cost estimate will be presented to the Rotary International Board in April 2023. The time frame has been extended to allow more extensive consultation on the implementation plan and associated costs that are being developed.

Meal vouchers for Mick O’Sheas given to Tony, Carol, Murray and Joy - Tony 11 Aug 1999 -2022, Murray 1 May 1990-2022. Certificates will be presented to Tony and Murray at a later date.
We were recently contacted by Dr Apurv from
Mobile Dental Care SA who provides a dental van service offering free dental care to those who are experiencing homelessness as well as vulnerable community membetrs.
Dr Apurv is available to meet with interested service providers to discuss in more detail about the community dental programme.
The RV Fellowship group (RVFR) is organising a three week muster in Australia to coincide with the May 2023 Rotary International Conference in Melbourne. Travelling from Melbourne through Adelaide, Mildura, Echuca and back to Melbourne, they will be arriving in time for the conference.

There will be approximately 50 persons (25 RV’s) all at retirement age, from all over Australia and the world, touring in motorhomes and caravans, heading to Melbourne for the conference.
Group Friendship Exchange (GFE) – Mid 2023 or 2024 – North West USA/ South West Canada. Our District (9510) has received an enquiry from District 5080 (North West USA and Southern West Canada) regarding a possible Group Fellowship Exchange to USA/Can in Mid next year 2023 or in 2024.
A Rotary group from USA visited South Australia in 2019 (Hosted by RC Adelaide and RC Regency Park) have now offered a return trip to US/Can next year or 2024.
Expressions of interest are being sought from any member in our district (9510) who may be interested in a GFE to US/Canada in mid 2023 or 2024.

Mark spoke on the arrangements for the Australia Day Breakfast in Ramsay Place and circulated a roster.
Merilyn spoke on the arrangements for our Mothers' Day Raffle and encouraged members to use their contacts in the community to sell tickets. Dates for members to sell their own tickets are in the programme. See Merilyn for the roster.
